Managed Backup & Disaster Recovery

Backups are only worth what you can restore. Immutable, air-gapped backups of Microsoft 365, servers, and endpoints — with quarterly tested restores and documented RTO/RPO.

What We Back Up

Complete Coverage

01

Endpoints

Laptops and desktops backed up continuously. User data protected without users needing to think about it.

02

Servers & VMs

On-premise and cloud servers, physical and virtual, backed up with application-consistent snapshots.

03

Microsoft 365

Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams data — because Microsoft's platform SLA doesn't cover your data.

04

Databases

SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL backups with transaction-log support for point-in-time recovery.

05

Immutable Storage

Backups written to immutable, air-gapped repositories that ransomware and compromised credentials can't touch.

06

Offsite Copy

Every backup replicated to a geographically separate location. Disasters that take out one site don't take out your data.

Recovery

When It Matters — Fast Recovery

Backups are only worth what you can restore. Every recovery plan has defined RTO (how fast you're back up) and RPO (how much data you might lose).

For critical systems, we typically target 1-4 hour RTOs and 15-minute RPOs. For less critical systems, longer targets are fine — and much cheaper.

Every backup is monitored for successful completion, and every recoverable state is quarterly tested. A backup you've never restored is a hope — not a plan.

Testing Discipline

Tested Restores, Not Hoped Restores

Quarterly restore drills for every protected system. Documented results. Any failure identified and remediated before the next real event. This is the difference between a backup service and a recovery capability.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 'managed backup' actually cover?

Endpoint files (laptops, desktops), on-premise servers, virtual machines, Microsoft 365 data (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams), and databases. Everything is backed up on a defined schedule with immutable, air-gapped copies that ransomware can't touch.

Doesn't Microsoft 365 back itself up?

No — this is one of the most common misconceptions. Microsoft is responsible for platform availability, not for your data. If a user deletes an email or a mailbox is compromised and wiped by an attacker, without a third-party backup, the data is gone. Microsoft themselves publish this in their shared responsibility model.

What is RTO and RPO?

RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is how quickly you need to be back up. RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is how much data you can afford to lose. We define these per system in the disaster recovery plan — a critical database might have a 1-hour RTO and 15-minute RPO, whereas an archive file server might be 24 hours and 24 hours.

How often do you test restores?

Quarterly at minimum, more often for critical systems. Every restore test is documented and reviewed. A backup you've never tested is a hope, not a guarantee — testing is where we catch the silent failures that would ruin a real recovery.

What about ransomware attacking the backups?

This is exactly why immutability matters. Our backup repositories are cryptographically immutable — once a backup is written, it can't be modified or deleted by any credential, including a compromised admin account, until the retention period expires. Attackers can't encrypt what they can't touch.

How long do you keep backups?

Standard retention is 90 days for endpoints and 12 months for servers and Microsoft 365, but we tailor this to your compliance and business requirements. Some regulated industries need 7-year retention on specific data types, which we design in from day one.
